Photograph album chiefly containing snapshots documenting everyday lives of the Armenian-American Avakian family of Fresno and Los Angeles Counties. Most images pertain to Marion Avakian (1916-2000), his wife Alice Maxwell Avakian (1916-2000), their children, friends and other family members. Most photographs depict domestic and leisure activities. Album also includes several photographs depicting Marion and many of his fellow soldiers during their military service (in the U.S. Air Force?) at the time of the second World War. Materials laid in to album (rehoused to AX folders) include a group portrait depicting Avakian family members attending the 40th wedding anniversary celebration of Marion's parents Simon and Pearl Avakian in 1946; a portrait of Alice's parents Harold and Della Maxwell; additional snapshots pertaining to Marion and Alice; later color snapshots of houses (perhaps associated with the Avakian family); and a page from an Avakian family genealogical report.
